Synopsys continues to collaborate with Armenia Tree Project to plant forests in Armenia

Since 2006, with the help of ATP Synopsys volunteers have planted more than 16,000 trees in Yerevan and the regions of Armenia.

This year Synopsys Armenia and ATP celebrated the Labor Day with planting forest in Kotayk Region. On May 1st, 2025, more than 100 volunteers, their families and friends gathered to plant 2000 pine and birch trees and expand the forest established last year in honor of Synopsys Armenia’s 20th Anniversary. Through this long-term relationship Synopsys and ATP have planted over 18,000 trees together. The bare hill in Lernanist was purple due to volunteers wearing “Synopsys for Good” T-shirts.

“I want to extend a heartfelt thank you for organizing this fun and impactful event. It was a great learning experience for our child, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to contribute”, said one of the volunteers, Karine Vardanyan, Sr. Staff Software Engineer at Synopsys.

“We are very grateful to our partner ATP for the successful partnership that helps us to make Armenia greener and more sustainable,” said Gayane Markosyan, the PR & CSR Lead at Synopsys Armenia. "It's so rewarding seeing our volunteers bring their children to plant trees, instilling a spirit of volunteerism and environmental preservation into our future generations”.

“As ATP approaches our 9millionth tree planting on March 18th we want to not only plant more trees, but instill in all segments of Armenian society the importance of environmental preservation and giving back. Our corporate partnerships like our strong relationship with Synopsyis are just one of the ways we instill these principles. Our environmental education program which has taught over 100,000 students to date and our Community Tree Planting program which plants trees at schools, hospitals, parks and other public areas are two other ways we make trees part of your personal story”, - said ATP Director of Operations Rousanne Arustamyan.
