30th Anniversary Photo Exhibition

As the saying goes, “a picture is worth a thousand words," and Armenia Tree Project’s 30th anniversary photo exhibit dramatically demonstrates what words cannot convey.
The exhibit, entitled “30 Years of Green Legacy”, premiered at the Armenian Arts Center in Glendale, California on September 28 and 29. It featured striking before and after photos of ATP’s work, conveying in powerful images how trees can transform the environment and lift up a community.
Since 1994, ATP has planted 8.5 million trees all over Armenia, creating 1500 hectares of new forest and greening 1700 community sites at schools, churches, historic sites, and more. The selected photographs highlight how ATP’s work fulfills its mission of using trees to improve the Armenian people’s standard of living by creating jobs, improving the environment, distributing fruit and nut trees to rural villagers, and educating young people on environmental issues.
Visitors to the Armenian Art Center were effusive in their praise of the exhibit, describing it as “powerful” and “dramatic." One attendee stated, “words don’t do it justice. It is amazing to see the big difference between the before and after photos."
Plans are underway to bring the exhibit to other Armenian communities in the US and Canada. If you are interested in having ATP visit your community, please contact us at info@armeniatree.org.
